Backcountry Access Digital Thermometer

The thermometer is used to analyze the temperature of the snow pack. This thermometer can be calibrated, and has a temperature range of -58 degrees Fahrenheit to 392 degrees Fahrenheit (-50 to 200 degrees Celsius). Easily toggles between Fahrenheit and Celsius with the click of a button.

The On/Off button is located on the right side of the faceplate.

To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, press the button on the left. Conversion should occur instantly.

To calibrate the thermometer, put the metal tip of the thermometer into an ice bath that has been thoroughly chilled. Also insert a mercury thermometer into the ice bath so that you can calibrate your thermometer to the correct temperature based off the mercury
thermometer reading. After letting both thermometers acclimate to the ice water, use a small screwdriver to spin the Phillips head screw to calibrate the thermometer to the correct temperature. Spinning the screw to the left will cause the temperature to decrease, whereas spinning to the right will cause the temperature to increase.
The thermometer is adjustable by approximately three degrees Fahrenheit in either direction.
