The Chillow® is a unique personal cooling pad, suitable for people of all ages and is only 2cm thick. It does not use power and is allergy free, The Chillow® is NOT a PILLOW but is a cooling pad which can be used in conjunction with your current Pillow. The Chillow® can be placed inside the pillow slip or sit on top and is in itself NOT a replacement to your pillow.

The Chillow Plus® has 2-way cooling with both the front and back surfaces staying cool. This helps people who require a wrap to stay cool on different parts of their bodies rather than simply lying on it to stay cool as you would with a standard Chillow. The Chillow Plus comes with Velcro ‘add ons’ to help secure the Chillow in place.
The Chillow® is activated once only, by filling it with 3.3 pints of ordinary tap water. The water is fully absorbed into the patented, foam core of the Chillow®. Once activated it will keep on working.
Chillow is cool, not cold: Unlike ice or gel packs, Chillow provides just the right amount of coolness to be effective and comfortable. The Chillow does not require refrigeration unless you need to be extra cool.
Chillow is dry, not wet: The Chillow does not melt or sweat so it can be used in bed or on clothing without dampness.
Chillow is soft, not hard: The Chillow is flexible and soft to touch and has memory foam properties

One important thing is to let the air get to it. Keep it on top of your pillow or in the coolest area of your home, never in direct sunlight or near a heat source. If you want it even cooler, you may put your Chillow® in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes. This makes Chillow® a super cooler. NEVER PUT IT IN THE FREEZER - that will damage the material and void your warranty! Remember, following the activation instructions carefully and maintaining the vacuum by removing all air once a month will ensure that the Chillow® gives you maximum performance for years.

The Chillow® was designed to match your body's cooling needs. After an active day, when your metabolism is high and you're hot, the Chillow® is cool and refreshing. But in the early morning hours, when your metabolism has slowed and your body is cooler, the Chillow® will be only slightly cool or tepid which is exactly what your body needs. After you get out of bed, the Chillow® loses any accumulated heat so it's ready when you need its coolness. There is no maintenance required, except sweeping any accumulated air out once per month. It takes just a couple of minutes and restores the vacuum that maintains coolness. NB: Keep out of direct sunlight.

Some pillows have a linen- type outer texture that the Chillow® cannot grip well. To solve the problem:
- Try positioning your Chillow® higher on your pillow; that is, make the center of gravity higher up on your pillow.
- Sleep directly on the Chillow® so that it is on the cotton pillow case where it will stay in position.
- Try using a different pillow.
- Make sure your bed, mattress or pillow don't slope downward so that gravity forces the Chillow® downward. Your pillow should be flat on your bed.
The core of the Chillow® can bunch up if the vacuum in-side the Chillow® is not great enough (i.e. there is too much air) To fix the problem, undo the stopper and allow air to enter, If possible blow into the Chillow® as if blowing up a balloon, this will make it much easier to reposition the inner core by holding one corner with your finger while moving and gently shaking the Chillow® to reposition the core to its correct position. NO, The Chillow® is only for human use. Pets have sharp claws and will void the warranty. Please also note that careful use of the Chillow® is important for longevity, as earring studs and other sharp objects can also puncture the Chillow® and void the warranty. Any Manufacturing default is covered by our 12 month warranty.

The Chillow® has been designed for once activation only using 3.3 pints of ordinary tap water and should not really be drained after this process is complete. However, if you really must remove the water you can gently empty as much as you can from the Chillow® and reactivate by adding water until the overall weight of the Chillow® is 1950 grms. You can only do this by weighing the Chillow® on kitchen scales and then adding water until the weight is achieved. To complete the process brush the air out from the Chillow® as before and leave for 2 hours before using. This is the only way to refill a Chillow® as the specialist core once activated will always hold on to some of the water and so make any future filling difficult to judge.

The product is not meant to be used in direct sunlight because sun may discolour the Chillow® but won't damage it otherwise. However, direct sunlight will heat it up. If used outside, on a lawn chair for example, cover it with your t-shirt or a thin cloth to protect it from the sun but let the cooling come through. It'll keep you cool for an hour or so, and then let it recharge in the house at room temperature or put it in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes for a quicker recharge.
