Every other month, the cover should be cleaned and protected. We recommend a deep cleanser like our 303 Protectant. With regular use, 303 blocks up to 100% of harmful UV to prevent sun damage.

Cleaning of your hot tub cover is an important part of routine maintenance. Dirt acts as an abrasive to the vinyl topcoat, and can also cause wear to fold, seams, and stitching. Mildew which grows on damp vinyl will begin to rot in the fabric, accelerating failure.
Clean the underside of the cover with spa surface cleaner and washing up brush before rinsing thoroughly with a hose.
The foam inserts in hot tub covers gradually get heavy over time as they fill up with water. This water doesn't come from rainfall but from the steam vapours rising up from your hot tub water. Foam inserts in most hot tub covers are wrapped with a plastic sheet. When you shock your hot tub or after adding high levels of sanitiser it is important that you take your cover completely off for at least half an hour to allow the plastic damaging chemical vapour to escape into the air. This practise will prolong the life of your cover considerably. View Cover Saver
A floating blanket will help to cut down on evaporation which will again prolong the life of your hard cover. it will also improve the insulation - saving money two fold.
