Ozone chips last approximately 2 years. Once their life expires your ozone unit no longer produces ozone and the bubbles that you see bubbling through your hot tub water will not be ozone gas. This means that you will not have the powerful sanitising effect that your ozonator usually gives and you will be relying on your chemical sanitiser alone to keep harmful bacteria in check.
You no longer have to replace the whole ozonator unit if you have a Del ozone. Instead, simply unscrew the face plate (power turned off) of your ozonator and replace with this Corona chip.

When the black line on your Ozone has got low or even disappeared replace by doing the following.
After turning off the power, simply unscrew the face plate of your ozonator.

Replace the face plate and turn on the power: you now have the peace of mind of a fully functioning and sanitising ozone system.
