How do I locate the right pump for me?
To identify your replacement pump is easy and very quick, but we need all this information to process your order efficiently. View how to disconnect and replace a pump.
Frame Size.
Identify the motor label (if present) – the label should tell you whether the pump is 48 frame (5.5” diameter motor) or 56 Frame (6.5” diameter motor) make a note.

One Speed or Two Speed.
Next we need to ascertain how many speed your motor has, it will be either one or two speed. If your motor has one RPM number it is one speed and obviously if it has 2 RPM numbers then it is two speed. Make a note of these numbers.
Horsepower.
The Horsepower if shown on the label will be great but we need to double check the motor companies information and we do this by looking at the amp range, this gives us a more realistic picture of the motor's horse power.
230 Volts 7 – 8 amps = 1.5 Horsepower (HP)
230 Volts 9–10 amps = 2.0 (HP)
230 Volts 11–12 amps = 3.0(HP
230 Volts 14–15 amps = 4.0 (HP)
Plumbing sizes.
Now it is time to identify the form of the pump and we do this by specifically identifying the wet end: A spa pump will be either Center Discharge or Side Discharge. Please note the pictures and make your choice.
This is really important so take your time:
Most 1.5" pumps will have an outside thread measurement of about 2-3/8" across. And
Most 2.0" pumps will have an outside thread measurement of about 3" across.

Note: Certain brands of pumps (such as Hayward, Jacuzzi, and Sta-Rite) use non-standard fittings with different dimensions. Please contact our trained staff for assistance.
Main pumps are either side or center discharge and look the way they are described. Center discharge pumps are not as common and tend to have lower voltage and horsepower with smaller plumbing (1.5").
