56 Frame. 2" x 2.5"(front face)

48 Frame 2" x 2" (front face)

Overview

Your existing pump may have a smooth body as apposed to the style of pump shown in the above picture, Waterway USA use varies motors suchas - Emerson, AO smith, Century Laser, these are all replaced by this european spec. motor (EMG) which is recommended by Waterway for the European market, it has a fan and a finned body design to dissipate heat. In most cases you will find that the wet end (P/N 315-1220 found on the back of the wet end casing) is the same but the motor may be made by a different company. This is its direct replacement.

This pump is used in Canadian Spas, Beechcoomber Hot tubs, Hotspring Spas , Hydropool Hot Tubs, Hydrospa, Leisure Bay, Leisurerite, Sapphire Spas, Saratoga, Southwest Spas and used widely within the spa industry

WET END FEATURES :

• High performance, specifically designed for 56-frame motors.
• Large intakes for improved low performance and noise reduction.
• Large 6" diameter wet end for higher head pressure, highly versatile that can be rotated every 90°

MOTOR FEATURES:

• Water repellent Italian made EMG motor - you may find that your pump has a smooth body, as apposed to the style illustrated above. This motor may be made by a different company, our motors are specific for the UK market.
• 56-frame motor for added strength, cooler operating temperature and longer motor life - we can still supply the original 48 frame but we recommend the 56 Frame for extended life.
• Two double shielded ball bearings with moisture resistant grease for quieter operation.
• Two-speed motors have four sets of insulated windings for increased efficiency.
• Split capacitor, (start and run) for less energy consumption
• Thermally protected to extend life expectancy of motor
• IPX5 construction

This 2hp pump is the most common pump in europe, the single speed variant operates at 9.5 amps, whilst the twin speed version runs at 9.0 (high speed) and 1.8amps (low speed), they have a 1.5KW motor and come complete with a 4.0HP impellored wet end. With std 2 inch outlets this pump can replace Aquaflow and in most cases the suction and discharge unions will fit directly on.

The 2.5hp 2 speed pump operates at 3.2 amps (low speed) and 11.4 amps (high speed). It is fitted with a. 2KW motor and comes complete with a 5.0HP impellored wet end. With std 2 inch outlets this pump can replace Aquaflow and in most cases the suction and discharge unions will fit directly on.

This 1 speed 3hp pump is rare in europe, it operates at 12.3/12.8 amps and has a 2.25KW motor and comes with a 5.0HP impellored wet end. The 2 inch outlets pumps can replace Aquaflow and in most usual cases the suction and discharge unions will fit directly on.

When we ID you pump we make sure it provides the same power and water flow as your existing pump, therefore it is essential to identify your impellor rating. You will find it stamped in the centre of the impellor, very difficult to see in situ - ring us if you have any questions or require any further help.

WIRING HELP

Obviously with the amount of pumps in the market place, there are varying wiring configurations and different colour wires, making it quite confusing, our guide below clarifies the differences:

Typically an old twin speed pump when exchanged for a new pump will have a difference in wiring configuration as the example below demonstrates (please always consult a professional).

The connections typically on old pumps are:
Black connected to V2  - Marked in diagram as Low Speed (Neutral)
Red connected to W1 – Marked on diagram as High Speed (Neutral)
White connected to V1 – Marked on diagram as High Speed (Phase)
Green connected to case – not on diagram.

The new pump connections would be for example:

Black connected to W1 – Marked on diagram as Low Speed (Phase)
Red connected to U1 – Marked on diagram as High Speed (Phase)
White connected to V1 – Marked on diagram as Neutral

**Please note do not run the pump with the low and high speed the wrong way round for more than 20-30 seconds as this will damage the pump and invalidate your warranty.
