This Waterway air controller has a notched air controller (top access) which increases flow by allowing air to be drawn in to the back of the jet housings. 1" outlet.

Fits 1 inch rigid / flexible pipe. Clean fitting, then apply pipe cement evenly to both surfaces of joint, insert pipe fully into the socket depth and remove surplus cement with a cloth. It is always best to turn the fitting to remove a channelling effect, which causes leaks.
