The new Balboa BP8 spa pack, or as we call it "The Universal Pack" is compatible for spas with only 1 pump, up to spas with 3 pumps + 1 Blower, making a great one fit for most applications, providing an ultimate aftercare / repair / upgrade solution for most applications, removing the complicated process of deciding on which pack is for you.

System Outputs
These packs have a number of possible set ups. They are shipped in Set Up 1 mode so you may need to amend the dip switches on the PCB and the set up program within the topside controller according to your specific set up. Please refer to the tech sheet in the above associated documents.
This system is designed to be able to run multiple configurations from 1 pump single speed upto 3 pumps + circ pump + blower. Pick yours with the sensible topside for your operation

BP Packs
If you have a Balboa BP6013G1 (56611-06) / BP6013G3 (59259) or the Vian Power Box: BX-VP610 / PK-VP610 / PK-VP609, then this is a direct swop over...match up the best suited topside panel
It also is a replacement for most settings in the BP200 / BP2100G0 / BP2100G1 & the BP6013G2 pack - ring us to discuss individual applications in this situation, but simply put if you have a pump two as a 2 speed then you need the BP2100 pack
Perfect for Upgrades
If upgrading your whole system (pack and topside) this is the only sensible option, this BP8 spa system is head and shoulders above anything else in the marketplace
The question is why chose old technology? when this pack offers ease of installation with a universal solution at a sensible upgrade price. It will future proof your system.
If however it just your PCB board failed then we still offer those for the majority of PCB's here
You shouldn't require and cables / plugs and pins to switch, unless you are changing an older system than the GS or BP system range, contact us to discuss in this situation.

Replacement For
GS Packs
If you have a GS500Z / GS501Z /GS501SZ / GS510SZ /GS510DZ / GS523DZ then it is definitely worth considering a full upgrade as we have discounted the prices to enable you to upgrade both your topside and pack at around the same price of upgrading your old GS system giving you the new technology and all the future connectivity it entails ...This may require cutting the shell, but more than likely using a bezel supplied.

Older Packs
If upgrading from an even older system or a different manufacturer, typically the process is the same, but, you will probably have to convert your old cables (typically JJ plugs) over as this box uses plastic amp plugs to connect to the circuit board, from all internal components i.e. pumps, ozone & blowers.
An example of what you will need is:
1 x 4 pin cable (2 speed pump)2 x 3 pin cable (1 speed pump, blower or ozone)1 x 2 pin cable (Spa light)
You have your existing cables so these are not supplied with the packs, you typically just need some AMP plugs and the AMP chrimps.
3 Phase
The BP8 Balboa packs are supplied in 1 phase but can be converted to 3 phase and replace 56833-02 the Balboa BP601G3 Control Box - 3 Phase
Topside information
Whatever configuration your system will run the major decision is which topside panel to fit, the size and shape of the available spa top (where your existing topside fits) will determine this, we have stand alone pages for each topside so have a look at there individual characteristics and size templates to help you make an informed choice: Labels are found on the topside, if you are using a new topside in a complete pack upgrade (for GS pack swop overs for example) you may need the correct bezel as well. This may require cutting the shell but more than likely not.
This control box is compatible with Balboa TP Series Topside panels such as TP260T, TP540, TP500 range, TP600, TP700, SPATOUCH 2HT, SPATOUCH2 Trapezoid, SPATOUCH3, SPATOUCH4 and the SpaTouch Mini

Topside Installation
To determine the correct topside for your application: a) space required to fit the new topside when removing old topside and the hole into which it fits (the topside links take you to the topside page where there are schematics of hole fitment) b) your system output set up. In other words you have to look at the tech sheet attached or ring us to make sure the chosen topside will work with your system parameters, some topsides don't have enough buttons for say 3 pumps systems.
