Covrex®

Is a completely new and innovative product; all slats are solid providing both additional rigidity and a perfect finish on curves which can be cut, on site, to fit any shape.

Covrex® has come a long way from the outdated method of cutting in stepped curves; of course this also means that you will never need to worry about end caps breaking and leaking.

  • The profile structures are made from expanded PVC-foam, co-extruded with polyurethane.
  • The exterior is high density PVC, which gives a perfectly smooth surface to prevent any algae formation either above or below the water level.
  • It can withstand temperatures from minus 20°C to plus 80°C.
  • Covrex® pool covers are the ideal solution for level deck or infinity edge pools since their design allows them to roll out perfectly straight every time, without the need for guides which can easily get jammed in the pit.

The Covrex® Classic Pool Cover

Our foam filled slats Covrex® Classic guaranty maximum insulation for your pool. They offer the best insulation coefficient over the whole lifespan of the cover. Covrex® Classic slats will make you enjoy your pool for longer periods and will reduce the loss of heat during the cooler days and nights.

All traditional pool covers are composed of slats with hollow compartments filled with humid air. This humidity strongly reduces the insulation coefficient. Furthermore, the traditional hollow slats are joined together by hinges which, for their part, also add to an additional heat loss.

Covrex® Classic Colours:

Adapt your cover to your own environment and envies. Covrex® Classic slats are available in 4 colours:

Cream White , Sky Blue , Silex Grey , Steel Grey

Covrex® Classic: Anti-algae

The foam filled Covrex® Classic slats are co-extruded in one piece with a flexible connection instead of a traditional hinge. Consequently, dirt and algae can't enter into the hollow compartments. Their smooth surface prevents algae to stick to the slats. This leads to the big advantage of an easy maintenance cover : it can even be cleaned with a pressure washer.

Covrex® Classic: Hail resistance

More than 5 years of research have lead to an amazing technology that offers a strong resistance to heavy weather conditions all year long. Compared to traditional covers that are often damaged by frost, hail and storms, the Covrex® Classic covers are fully resistant to these extreme conditions.

Covrex® Classic pool covers can resist extreme wintertime temperatures and keep their flexibility, even down to -20°C. This gives pool owner the opportunity to leave their Covrex® cover on the pool during winter without having to add extra protection or lower the water level. There's no need for a winter canvas or bubble cover.

On the other hand, with high temperatures causing traditional pool covers to warp, the Covrex® Classic covers preserve their original shape even up to 70°C.
During autumn when dead leaves fall onto the pool cover, Covrex® maintains the quality of your pool water thanks to its flexible connection without leaving any space between the slats preventing dirt and dust to reach the water.

Covrex® Classic: Space-saving

Thanks to its well considered design the rolled-up Covrex® pool cover has a 50% smaller diameter than traditional pool covers. It leaves you therefore with more swimming space to enjoy.

For example, the diameter of a rolled up cover of a 12m long pool is only about 50cm. You lose only 50cm of free swimming space where a traditional pool cover would make you lose 70 or even 110cm.

Covrex® Solar

Our new poly-carbonate slats are extremely resistant due to a special structure we designed, have a top class performance.

The Silver finishing on the Covrex® Solar gives it a bright and glassy touch, reducing the visibility of condensation

Covrex® Solar: Condensation

The Silver finishing touch of the Covrex® Solar will make the condensation inside the salts almost invisible. Contrary to traditional solar slats, the innovative structure of the Covrex® Solar slat reduces the visibility of condensation that can be present inside the slats.

Covrex® Solar: Strength + Polycarbonate slats

In order to bring a high quality product on the market, and guarantee a long durability, we decided to create our Covrex® Solar in polycarbonate. Polycarbonate offers an excellent resistance to shocks or hail storms compared to traditional PVC slats. The majority of PVC covers don't survive a heavy hail storm.

The Covrex® Solar in polycarbonate is up to 16x stronger than traditional PVC slats.

Polycarbonate is a thermoplastic polymer which offers many remarkable characteristics. Some of these characteristics are specifically important for the pool environment:

  • High resistance to extreme temperatures
  • Very high resistance, which makes the whole cover much more resistant to hail or shocks than a traditional PVC cover
  • Very good insulation properties
  • Easiness of maintenance
  • Long life expectancy

Covrex® Solar: Anti-algae

Covrex® Solar slats are extruded with a specific profile which main use is to serve as an anti-algae profile. It is directly integrated in the structure of the profile of the slats, and enables the Covrex® Solar cover to remain cleaner for a longer period.

It's structure effectively allows to minimise the UV sun rays in the slat, making it more difficult for algae to proliferate. Its maintenance is hence made easier, and you can clean your cover with a high pressure washer.

Covrex® Solar: Eco

The thermal specificities of our Covrex® Solar+ will increase the heat conductivity, reduce water evaporation and hence will be an economical solution in heating the pool as well as reducing the chemical products used. These advantages will come on different levels:

Energy savings A pool equipped with a Covrex® Solar+ needs much less energy than a traditional cover to keep the pool warm. You will therefor benefit of a decrease in gas-oil or electricity should you use a heat pump to heat up your pool and make important energy savings.

Decrease in use of chemicals for the pool water The Covrex® Solar+ reduces the accumulation of algae and other dirt and micro organisms in your pool water. The result is that you will use less chemicals for the water treatment (chlore / pH / anti-algae and other maintenance products). Moreover, the amount of sunlight entering the pool water is drastically reduced, which will decrease the natural reaction of photosynthesis, responsible for the creation of algae.

Economy of maintenance of the cover : your Covrex® Solar+ cover is particularly resistant, and can be cleaned with the help of a high pressure washer in the beginning and end of the season.

When installing a Covrex® Solar+ on your pool, your investment at the purchase of the cover will quickly be recovered : in the medium term the cost for your pool maintenance will be highly reduced.

Covrex® Solar: Safety

With its pool covers Covrex® wants to offer maximum safety. Therefore the Covrex® pool cover are perfectly safe for children as well as for adults and even small pets. The strength of the polycarbonate slats is such that a Covrex® cover equipped with safety hooks can hold the weight of an adult without fail.

It is also possible to increase the safety even more by installing a hand rail along the pool walls.

Covrex® Solar: Heating surface

The Covrex® Solar heats your pool by absorption of the solar heat.

  • Sunlight will heat the black inferior part of the Covrex® Solar and increase the temperature in the hollow chambers, which will after transfer this heat directly to the pool.
  • The heat of the sun is a continuous source of energy, and is transferred directly from the sun, to the pool.
  • The fact that the inferior part of the slat is black, will avoid sunlight to enter the pool water, and hence limit the proliferation of algae in the pool.
  • With a water circulation on while the cover is closed will transfer the heat equally from the surface to the rest of the pool water.
