Hozelock Ecopower Filters

These are high performance external filters from Hozelock, they combine mechanical and biological filtration and feature a built in UVC. They can be positioned anywhere, above ground, in ground or hidden at the top of a waterfall. They must be installed in an upright position.

The Ecopower works by water entering the filter through a stepped hosetail where it is passed into the UV chamber and exposed to the UV light. Here any algae is clumped together leaving the water clearer. It is then passed through a venturi to aerate it, increasing oxygen levels. The aerated water passes into the bottom of the filter through plastic bio media where friendly and beneficial bacteria that has colonised on the filter media cleanses impurities and removes fish waste. Waste at the bottom of the filter can be removed. Finally the water rises up through the foam filters and any remaining debris and waste particles are removed. The clean purified water passes through the outlet tube and is returned to the pond, leaving your pond crystal clear.

Three sizes are available: Ecopower 4000 for ponds up to 8000ltrs (without fish), Ecopower 6000 for ponds up to 12000ltrs (without fish) and Ecopower 10000 for ponds up to 20000ltrs (without fish).
