Ours to our knowledge is the only ASTM-certified lid in the UK market, and what we see is warranties are becoming one of the biggest marketing ploys around. Read most warranties carefully and you'll likely find that all it covers is manufacturers' defects. With 20 years of manufacturing behind us, it has been our experience that almost all "defects" will show up within the first few months, possibly as long as a year after purchase, but never have we, nor any other manufacturer we know, seen a defect after more than about 18 months. Many internet retailers are now adding on their own warranty on top of the actual manufacturer's warranty to give the appearance of a longer warranty time. Any warranty is only as good as the company issuing it. Chances are a company that's been around for 20 years is going to continue to be around to stand by its warranty. A two-year-old internet company may be another story. Our lid is made with superior materials and craftsmanship with the best specification online, to remove potential flaws and problems years in, but it will not last unless it is properly cared for. And that is where you, the customer, come in.
This warranty does not include damage incurred by use of the Poolandspacentre Lid other than in accordance with these warranty conditions and guidelines provided by Bubble-Tubs Ltd, or conditions resulting from:1) Defects in component or part which is not part of the Poolandspacentre Ltd.2) Failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.3) Misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, acts of God, or alterations/repairs other than authorized by Poolandspacentre.4) Natural fading and minor deterioration.5) Damage due to excessive chemicals or heat6) Inner foam core moisture absorption due to foam breakage or damage to membrane barrier7) Damage, tears or abrasions to vinyl cover due to scraping, dragging or sliding of the cover8) Damage due to the use of vapour seals as handles (the pads at the inside ends of the fold)9) Damage due to weight placed on the cover10) Damage caused by inappropriate storage11) Adverse weather conditions, including wind. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the lid and terminates upon any transfer of ownership by the original purchaser prior to the expiration of the warranty period.Goods shipped to Europe as classified under our terms and conditions will be subject only to a skin warranty. The core is not covered under warranty (the goods are fully insured during shipping)Unfortunately due to the bespoke nature of hot tub lids, Poolandspacentre cannot provide a loan cover during the repair period.Broken foam cores are not covered by the warranty. Please ensure you do not walk, sit, crawl, jump, place objects, etc. on your cover. (Note: if broken, your cover may absorb water and become heavy.) Also, you should be aware that you can burn and damage the vinyl with improper or severe use of water sanitisers. Sorry, but we cannot warrant these situations.MOST IMPORTANT: When shocking the spa always fully remove the lid and run the jets for a minimum of 30 minutes otherwise microscopic holes will burn the core-sheath allowing water to ingress into the core, eventually making the lid too heavy to lift. Please Note: If, for any reason, you remove the foam cores from the vinyl encasement - DO NOT leave them exposed to direct sun. Also, DO NOT use plastic to cover your Poolandspacentre Lid or leave metal objects on top of the cover. On warm days, the heat generated can melt the foam cores inside the cover.Except as expressly provided, there shall be no additional warranty, or obligation, expressed or implied, oral or statutory.
