Hot Tub Filter Cleaning and Changing?

Depending upon the bather load, it is generally a good practice to rinse your filter cartridge every week, but certainly, every two weeks with fresh water from a garden hose to dislodge hair and other foreign matter. You could buy a comb to help you here

Every 3 to 4 months, and with each water change, your filter cartridge should be soaked in a filter-cleaning compound designed for this purpose.

We recommend that you clean your spa's filter completely every 6 weeks with a Hot Tub Filter Cleaners solution.

Filter cleaning is important because dirt and debris trapped in your spa's filter can slow the flow of water and affect the performance of the spa.

The process is simple: place the filter into a bucket with filter cleaning solution and allow the dirt and particles to float into the water. After soaking, the filter should be sprayed thoroughly again to remove any remaining dirt and cleaner fluid. Follow the cleaner's instructions.

You may want to buy an additional filter to keep on hand. This way, you can allow your filter to soak, put the replacement filter in and use your hot tub right away.

It is more economical as both sets will last longer than if you use one set continuously.

One set is in the spa whilst the other is on standby, allowing the out-of-service filter to soak in the cleaner solution for 24 hours and dry out fully before being reused. improving it's performance & allowing bacteria to die off.
