As a primary Waterway distributor we can supply you the motor part only, all you have to do is replace the failed motor and attach your existing wet end.

All our motors are the European specification EMG motors which are used by Waterway & Aqua-Flo. They have a rear fan and a finned body design to dissipate heat.

Please look at the specifications below to see which one most closely matches your original motor, remember your existing pump may have a smooth body as apposed to the style of pump shown in the above picture, different manufacturers include - Emerson, AO smith, Century Laser, these can all be replaced by these European spec. motors (EMG).

If you need the exact replacement for the Spaform GC150 with the blue wet end please click here.

We would recommend a quick phone call on 01902 893 803 to make sure that you are specifying the correct replacement unit, see below in additional information for more info.

The pumps are supplied without a cable, as the power cord is dedicated to your model of control system, therefore you will need to rewire your existing cable to the pump. Remove the cord from your old pump, and note, the wire colour going to high speed or low speed terminals on any motor, the colour is set or determined by the maker of the spa control, not by the pump or motor manufacturer.

Before you remove the power cord from your old pump, look at the old motor wiring label and make a note of what color goes to high, and to low. Then, put the cord on your new motor/pump, using the same color for high as on the old motor and also for low speed wiring.

Pick a Pump

It only takes a minute to find the right replacement pump for your hot tub. Use the handy guide below to find the right specs. If your equipment section is tight for space you will need to ring us to make sure your replacement pump will fit into the old pump space (sometimes our replacements maybe different in size dependant on the age of your faulty pump.

Anatomy of a pump

A pump in lamens terms consists of two main components: the wet end which contains the impeller, which moves the water, and an electric motor (the dry end) which turns the impeller. All motors at poolandspacentre.co.uk are supplied under European guidelines.

How do I locate the right pump for me?

Identify your replacement pump is easy and very quick, but we need all this information to process your order efficiently.

One Speed or Two Speed.

We need to ascertain how many speeds your motor has, it will be either one or two speeds. If your motor has one RPM number it is one speed and obviously, if it has 2 RPM numbers then it is two speeds. Make a note of these numbers.

Frame Size

Identify the motor label (if present) – the label should tell you whether the pump is 48 frame or 56 Frame make a note.
pump label.

Horsepower

The Horsepower, if shown on the label, will be great but we need to double-check the motor company's information and we do this by looking at the amp range, this gives us a more realistic picture of the motor's horsepower.

230 Volts 7 – 8 amps = 1.5 Horsepower (HP)

230 Volts 9–10 amps = 2.0 (HP)

230 Volts 10–11 amps = 2.5 (HP)

230 Volts 11–12 amps = 3.0(HP)

230 Volts 14–15 amps = 4.0 (HP)

48" Frame Wetend Compatibility

This motor is not supplied with a wetend however we should inform you that 48" frame motors should only be fitted to either a:

Anything else rated at a higher HP could cause damage to the windings and this will not be covered under warranty.

Note: Certain brands of pumps (such as Hayward, JACUZZI®, and Sta-Rite) use non-standard fittings with different dimensions. Please contact our trained staff for assistance.

IMPORTANT: if you don't have the screws then please find them here
