Balboa Clim8zone is an experience you wont find anywhere else, the first of its kind, Clim8zone combines exclusive energy efficient technology with the ability to heat and cool the spa water.

Its the perfect heat pump to use with your existing Balboa and Gecko packs, unlike the other heat pumps on the market this is made specifically by the system provider and comes with 2 years warranty and all the guidance that we as the UK Distributor have to offer through our in-house Technical team.

Don't get overawed by all of this, we have carried out hundreds of installations, we even have recommended engineers to carry out the work if you don't feel up to carrying out the upgrade.

Delivery is direct and takes approximately 5-7 days. Please have a look at our Heat Pump Guide - it easily explains everything

Save costs, cut down on bills and make the sensible choice, go with the manufacturer, not inferior, unproven Chinese alternatives.

  • Unlike other spa heat pumps on the market, Clim8zone™ functions at low ambient air temperatures (-20ºC/-4ºF) in colder climates.
  • Operates quietly at less than 50dBA.
  • Variable speed compressor with smart algorithm.
  • Fully integrated with the BP Systems and uses the same spa heating pump as the spa's traditional electric element heater.
  • Features a typical energy efficiency (COP) of 5 to 10 times a traditional spa heater and may reach up to 15 times in certain operating conditions, using less energy to keep the water hot, providing smart savings.
  • Allows the spa user to set the spa BP Control System to utilize the Clim8zone™ Heat Pump alone, the spa's traditional electric element heater alone, or both simultaneously when necessary

Minimum Clearance

Follow the minimum clearance requirements shown below during installation and operation of the CLIM8ZONE TM unit.
These clearances insure proper air flow. All air vents must be unobstructed and free of debris.

DO NOT install the CLIM8ZONE TM unit indoors.

It is recommended that the CLIM8ZONE TM unit be installed no more than 6.5 feet (2 meters) from the Hot Tub.

Clim8zone is compatible with the following spa control.

BP Control Systems

The CLIM8ZONE unit is compatible with BP Control Systems that have one of the following agency prefixes and must have C8Z in the description on the identification label:
BP20
BP21
BP501
BP6
BP2
BP1
The agency prefix is noted on the control system identification label

Temperature Modes

Clim8zone has four Temperature modes for heating/cooling spa water.

1. Heating Mode (default)

  • This mode only heats the spa water. All cooling with the CLIM8ZONETM unit is disabled.

2. Cooling Mode

  • This mode only cools the spa water. All heating with the CLIM8ZONETM unit is disabled.

3. Heating and Cooling Mode (default)

  • This mode heats and cools the spa water with the CLIM8ZONETM unit enabled.

4. Disabled

Speed Modes

Clim8zone had three speed modes

1. Auto Smart (default)

  • For Heating or Cooling
  • Uses Artificial Intelligence
  • Variable Heating/Cooling capacity
  • The CLIM8ZONETM computer automatically adjusts the compressor frequency up or down using an algorithm that is based on ambient air temperature and water temperature.
  • This algorithm balances a best case in most conditions for efficiency and noise vs heating/cooling output of the CLIM8ZONE unit.

2. Manual High

  • For Heating or Cooling
  • Highest Heating Capacity
  • Fastest Water Heating/Cooling
  • Low COP (i.e. Low Energy Efficiency)
  • High Compressor Frequency – Fixed, i.e. does not adjust based on environmental conditions
  • The CLIM8ZONE unit Compressor Noise is Maximum

3. Manual Low

  • For Heating or Cooling
  • Lowest Heating/Cooling Capacity
  • Slowest Water Heating
  • High COP (i.e. High Energy Efficiency)
  • Low Compressor Frequency – Fixed, i.e. does not adjust based on environmental conditions
  • The CLIM8ZONE unit Compressor Noise is Minimum

Updated BP Control System software and control panel software is required for Clim8zone.
